The Greenlandic Representation in Reykjavík and the Northern Research Forum at the University of Akureyri (NRF at UNAK) will jointly organize an Arctic Circle Assembly pre-event on Wednesday, October 9, 2019 in Akureyri, Iceland.

Program begins promptly at 9 am and runs until 4 pm. Doors open and onsite registration begins at 8 am.
The program will end in the early evening with a joint reception together with the Arctic Mayor’s Forum at 6 pm, at the Akureyri Art Museum.
The event is titled From National Strategies to Shared Solutions – Best Practices for Sustainable Development in the Arctic and is a Best Practices Showcase on the topics of (Subject to Change):
- Regional Tourism, Infrastructure and Sustainable Development
- Green Solutions for Northern Societies – Energy and Waste Management Services
